I sat down with the guy and gave him all my details and got the ball rolling (he was at my house for nearly half an hour). I then got told to wait for a confirmation call from the head office. That came through and then I was told that I actually cant get these plans as they are only meant for people in an Optus cabled area — I got fired up as no one in my suburb, or even the next two suburbs has Optus cable… why the hell are these morons selling plans to people that they can’t get!? Anywho, I cracked it and stayed with my current ISP.

Moral of the story: Telstra and all their reps are either liars or thieves – or both! :)
